So, what did the Apostle Paul say? Do we have to keep the Torah, the law of Moses, as given to the children of Israel? NO: 1) Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (Rom 3:20) 2) Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. (Rom 3:28) 3) Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.(Gal 2:16) 4) But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. (Gal 3:11) k. So, what was the purpose of the law then, the Torah of Moses? Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. (Gal 3:24) But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. (Gal 3:25) l. We are NO LONGER UNDER A SCHOOLMASTER (the law). We went from the law TO CHRIST. All of these people who are taking you from CHRIST back to the law are wrong - at the very least (and Im being as kind as possible in saying it that way.) m. You are in great danger - all of you, because: Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. (Gal 5:4) n. Youre NOT justified by the law? Well, then why is my rejection of the Torah at the heart of everything you say? Why am I a heretick and ungodly because I reject Torah? You are deceived (Matt 24:4,5, 11, 24) by Judaizing Pharisees.. o. The verses that I just quoted rip the heart right out of the Hebrew Roots Movement. 8. And then, Paul turns to those of us who have been assaulted by Hebrew Roots Movement wolves/judaizers and comforts us with the fact that Christ fulfilled the law. He defeated the judaizing enslavement to the law. He defeated the doctrines of the Hebrew Roots Movement before any of your Hebrew Roots leaders and friends knew about the Hebrew Roots Movement. He blotted out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days (Col 2:16). 9. LET NO MAN THEREFORE JUDGE YOU....in respect of an holyday (FEAST DAYS),... or of the SABBATH DAYS. You cant ask for anything more clear than that. All of these verses are perfectly clear - and completed refute the core teachings of the Hebrew Roots Movement. The legalistic, Pharisaical, Judaizing insistence upon keeping the Sabbaths, and the Feasts of the Lord, and the Torah - the law - were blotted out by the Lord on the cross, and were confirmed as irrelevant by the Apostle Paul. 10. That is the final word from the FINAL authority. Will you accept it? Or will you trust in man - who re-defines words and allegorizes and adds and subtracts and substitutes and changes the preserved word of God until it says what you want it to say? He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
