So what is COMBO?? I have had some questions about what this new fandangled Combo class is on Saturday mornings so heres the break down. Every Saturday i put together a different workout that could include any of the following: *Functional training- linking exercises together to move around in all directions. *Circuit- doing a set exercise for a period of time, then moving onto the next exercise. Usually a mixture of cardio (moving) and body conditioning. *Fitness games- yes i love a game and its a great way to get your heart rate up and have a good time. So far weve played soccer and had a snow ball fight. :-) *Boxing- punching stuff is awesome *Kickbag work- kicking stuff is awesome. *Resistance bands- might be part of a circuit- might be Glute (butt) activation. *Stability/swiss ball. For working abs and core. *Interval training- one exercise flat out for a period of time, then rest. Rinse and repeat. *Obstacle courses. *stretch, meditation, yoga, Power Pilates. Add to this loads of equipment- power bags, battle ropes, steps, bands, swiss ball, balls, medicine balls, weights. Its a great workout for anyone (you can totally take it at your own pace and i always provide progressions and options). You dont require any special co-ordination or skills and you wont be bored. So mix up your exercise and maybe bring a friend ;-) see you next Saturday at 9.15 at the fitness club at keon park!
