So whats a dollar? Skip a coffee? Or soda? We need your help. Please take that one little dollar out and put it in the mail. Piper saw the cardiologist at OSU today and had an echocardiogram. ($500+) we need to know exactly where her murmur was from to know how to proceed. She has a valvular pulmonic stenosis with fused leaflets. Basically her heart cannot pump out the blood the way it should. Her prognosis? If no more treatment, its iffy. Her heart muscle will continue to thicken and her life span will could be cut very short. However, her life has already been extended as we were the only ones that would pull her from the shelter and she would have been euthanized. To fix her heart they will go in through her trachea down into her heart and place a balloon at that valve to open it up and help her blood flow through as it should. They have had great success with this surgery, although nothing is a guarantee; her life will probably still be shorter than a healthy poodle; but it is her best chance at a normal life. This surgery will run $1500-$1800. We CAN NOT do this for her without EVERYONES help.... Just one dollar. To meet her all you see is a normal, happy go lucky, silly poodle puppy.
