So, when this whole ice bucket thing started going viral, I was a little skeptical. How can dumping ice on someones head really help fight this disease? Well, if you had ignorant thoughts like me, I have some information id like to share with you.. I began doing some research and I immediately came across a stat that stood out to me.. FACT: Since the ice bucket challenge started 3 weeks ago, ALS chapters have received $5.7 million in donations (compared to $1.2 millon during the same time last year). WOW! That being said, Caroline Aida and Alex Goldfarb, I gladly accept your challenge and am happy to take part. So here it is! Also, during my research, I came across an organization called Projectals (Project A.L.S.) that fights everyday to find a cure for this awful disease. I encourage anyone who is reading this to take part in helping fight the horrible disease by donating some money to this organization, or any charity of their choice.
