So while discussing the fact that my GPA is simply not good enough to get into medical school at the moment and I need to take a year off to study more for the MCAT to up that score and get more experience and internships to make me a more competitive applicant, she decides to say: Well your father and I have done everything we can for you to raise you the right way. If you choose to screw up your life, thats on you. Scuse me? Im graduating this year with a Bachelors degree in BIOCHEMISTRY AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY. Not to mention I help manage a steady volunteer thing, I have a regular once a month EMT gig, AND Im the president of an on-campus club this year (and was a VP last year). Not to mention I have a 3.-something GPA, AND I was on the Deans list one quarter. Im pretty sure that even if I quit now and never further my education beyond this point, Im still pretty damn far from the realm of screwing up my life. And people wonder why I have issues with perfection. >.
