So yall remember Sam and Sybil, the two black labs pups rescued - TopicsExpress

So yall remember Sam and Sybil, the two black labs pups rescued after someone dumped them in the middle of the road? Theyre grown now, weighing in at maybe 70 or 80 pounds each. Well, someone blessed us with another half grown dog, an Irish setter mix we found cowering under our front outside stairs when we came home a month or so ago. He doesnt really have a name though my dH Jerry calls him Trouble. He fits right in now, sits for his Milkbone dog treat in a row with Sam and Sybil as if hes been doing it all his life. But yesterday, he earned his keep. The batteries died for Sams collar that keeps him within our Invisible Fence. Being a lab, the first thing he did was head for the lake. But while swimming under the boat dock, he became entangled in a rope securing one of the boats. Trouble and Sybil set up a barking, howling racket. Jerry went outside, but couldnt tell what they were barking at, couldnt see a problem. But just like Lassie, Trouble came running up to him, then ran back toward the boat dock, basically pointing at it. When Jerry followed him, he saw Sam dog paddling frantically, trying to stay afloat. He immediately cut the rope so the lab could swim free. And Trouble got himself an extra Milkbone treat and a permanent place at Maxwell dog heaven. Dont tell me dogs dont think or feel!
