So, yesterday I had a visit from a student. He is a current student who, frankly I have been feeling that I have failed. Hes a good kid, but he is giving up, and I havent seen him in about a month. I contacted his counselor and Assistant Principal, to try and figure out whats going on, and long story short, he doesnt need my class to graduate so he doesnt want to work that hard. Any way, he came into my class and quietly approached me and thanked me, and told me I was the best teacher he ever had. This year as a teacher has been utter crap. The changes in the profession have made me question if I want to continue, but it is things like this that make me proud of the work I do.
