So yesterday I replaced a leaky axle seal. I found out one of my spider gears had a chip in it. I found the chip. Then I found this. Called a mechanic and sent a pic. Called ford. nobody has any idea what it is. Nobody has ever touched the rear end of my truck or has it been worked on besides me changing gear oil. I think it was round at one point. If anybody has any idea what it is it would be awesome if you would tell me. Its a 8.8 with 3:73 gears and is a limited slip. Also it isnt magnetic.
