So yesterday, I went to the Vans park in HB. I go often. Anyway, a small group of us were skating the big bowl. We had just revealed our ages to one another and everyone was 40+ with me being the elder in my 50s. This is the norm. We take a few runs, and complain about our backs etc. well, I do anyway. If you havent been to the HB park, there is a train track that runs along it. Yesterday the train came crawling by. We all stopped and watched . Like a little kid , I waved to the conductor. Hes was an old Santa Claus looking guy.Big white beard etc. He waved back. Just as he passed us, he leaned out and yelled to me Your too old! . What? Really? Santa and his choo choo is calling me too old? HAHA At first I was pissed. But then I thought about what it must look like to those that have no clue or reference. Yes, I am an old man on a wooden toy and I wouldnt have it any other way. Next time I see Santa coming down the track Ill be ready. Ill have some good come back for him. If nothing else, I can always just yell Your too old to drive Santa! Bite me!
