So yesterday and today, I was taking some time to pray while in my car (its one of the only times I am alone and can yell/cry/laugh without worrying others around me). I usually only need this when Im feeling extra tightly wound, which I have been lately. Well both times that I stopped to do this, I left my radio on and in the middle of my praying, I Hope You Dance came on... Call it coincidence if you want, but I am taking this as a sign that my best friend is trying to tell me that she is here and she understands what Im going through. I lost her 3 and a half years ago and in all that time, Ive not been able to listen to the song all the way through... Until tonight. I paused my praying and basked in the presence of my angel while singing my heart out to the song and it was one of my more liberating experiences in the past few years. Ive been praying extra hard in the last 48 hours for some sign that God and my best friend are here and guiding me, and I got my sign. While it is difficult to this day to go through the harder experiences without her, I know that she is closer to my heart than ever. I hope this is true for all of the other lives she touched while she alive ❤️
