So yesterday night I worked at California Pizza Kitchen and this - TopicsExpress

So yesterday night I worked at California Pizza Kitchen and this old man walked in and sat at the counter so obviously I began speaking to him. He began by telling me how happy he was about being inside our restaurant, in the nice cool air conditioned room enjoying his martinis and watching football. He went on to tell me that you have to get through some of the bad to see some good in life. He then started telling me stories about how unfortunate the last few days have been for him. One day he left his phone, camera, folder with construction blue prints on it, on the back of a truck when he was taking a break, and without realizing the truck sped off and he lost all of it. The next day he was driving and his car broke down and he had no way at all to call anyone to come help him since the day before he lost his phone. And on the last day he was in LA and while he was getting into a cab, he dropped and folder that held all his expensive belongings, checks worth more than $3,000 more blue prints, and cash. He was becoming very upset with everything going on that night when he realized on top of losing his phone, camera, car breaking down, and now losing a large portion of money all this had happened at once. But then that night a women called him. She said hello is this so and so, he said yes, she said I have your folder I found it on the street with your business card inside when can I return it? After he said all this he looked at me and asked me how old I was? I replied saying that i am 19. He said okay Spencer it took be 65 years too fully understand patience. Patience in the sense that everything bad that can happen in your life, big and small... Sooner or later no matter what, it will all subside. Some may take longer than others but no matter what as long as you can hold on and be patient to make it through. Life will continue and everything will be alright. Took me 65 years to learn that though. Youre 19, try and learn this lesson sooner than I have, you will be successful trust me he finished. This short conversation with this man really hit home with me. Thought I would share some short wisdom. Thanks for reading.
