So, you all remember that extreme pride you had in our Alma Mater with the half-staff raised Black Solidarity flag in response to the injustice in Ferguson, MO? Well, this standard communication certainly brings us all back... and in compliance with the status quo! So, as proud as I am to be a Bison; and as proud as I was to participate in the 1989 protest, THIS certainly sprouts a feeling on the other end of the spectrum. I guess we should have known that it was not an official statement being made with the flag, but then again, if we cant step out of the box on institutional injustices at this time, with a very peaceful statement, and at the Mecca of HBCUs, then WHEN, HOW, AND WHERE? #thiswasnotagoodlook
