So you ask if Mr. Streaper is real? Well... It all began in 1957 in a 3 ring traveling circus whose name we will not disclose. The ringmaster of this traveling carnival and circus show was the sinister Mr. Geoffrey Streaper. His ideas of amusement were quite horrific and macabre, but he didn’t let that seep into the show. He saved his gory humor for his carnival attraction “Streaper’s Nightmare!”. A haunted adventure that traveled with the circus he had built his life around. Every time Mr. Streaper came across something horrific in his life he either took it and placed it in his haunted house or recreated it as realistically as possible. Sets of horribly realistic deaths and murderers; scenes of the criminally insane; depictions of fear in the flesh. His children didn’t see eye to eye with their father’s way of amusing the touring guests as they traveled through his dark corridors and horrifying sets, but Mr. Streaper yearned for the screams heard coming from within the walls of his attraction as the sun set and the guest peeked curiosity into the darker side of amusement. Screams and cries for help seeped out of the cracks of the seemingly ancient mobile building Mr. Streaper had set up each and every time he traveled with the circus. However, Mr. Streaper had a secret that would deem him criminally insane himself. Mr. Streaper not only helped to scare his guests as they traveled through his dark passageways and endless corridors but he also added a bit of realism to his guest’s experience. One out of every 3 guests that toured his haunted adventure, never came out. Their blood spilled within the haunt to create an even more realistic haunted house; in reality, the gory and horrific depictions within the haunt were those of guests from previous towns frozen in time to forever be a part of Mr. Streaper’s sinister sense of humor. One day, while the circus was visiting Peru, Indiana, Mr. Streaper was caught in the act with a bloody axe in hand and a blood speckled sinister grin on his face as a young man lie on the floor, lifeless, in front of him. The police quickly came and arrested Mr. Streaper and he was placed in a very high lockdown facility just outside of Peru. He was deemed criminally insane 3 months later and was placed in an institute for the criminally insane where he was put under extensive psychological studies. The institute lost its governmental funding in 1987 and all patients were released to the care of local hospitals in surrounding cities. Mr. Streaper was set to return to Peru, Indiana, but somehow was lost in transport. The transporting ambulance was found on the side of the road overturned. Both medics were pronounced dead on arrival and no trace of Mr. Streaper was found. All that remained of him was a message written in blood on the side of the ambulance. “The show must go on.”
