So, you mean to tell me that the Democrats refused to negotiate on this EXACT proposal that was put forth by the Republicans? Remember - the second choice the Republicans brought to the table was to fund the entire government, with the exception to delay the individual mandate for one year. The Democrats refused to even consider it, and as a result the government was eventually shut down. Absolutely infuriating! The Democrats are getting ready to do exactly what the radical Tea Party Republicans offered to do. Just goes to show you that the Democrats WANTED to have the government shutdown, just to try and blame the Republicans. If this doesnt prove that Harry Reid and Obama wanted to shut the government down, I dont know what does. The refusal to negotiate on anything by Reid and Obama was pure petty politics. Absolutely shameful!
