So, you might remember me telling a story last May about my adventure at the post office when I tried to get my passport picture taken and was told by our Asian postal worker You too shiny! Well the adventure continued today. I gave her my pile of Christmas cards and inquired about the amount of postage needed per card. She examined one envelope closely, turning it over, squeezing it, squinting at it, then said, You card too fat. I opened the envelope and showed her the bow I had tied onto the card. She told me I would need to pay extra so that all 120 cards could be hand metered since they were too fat to go through the machine. I asked her if there was another option. She brightened and said, You redo bow. Decrease fat on card. So, since Im a penny pincher, here I sit tonight retying 120 bows with one knot instead of two to decrease their fatness. Does anyone else have these adventures or is it just obsessive-compulsive me?!
