You didnt know any better then.”~ 1 Peter1:14 Great ! youre saved, youve accepted Christ ! everything is going well until that old temptation pops up, until that friend calls that wants you to party , until that man calls that wants you to fornicate and now as saved, and as sanctified that you are, your flesh is yearning to fulfill that temptation & to fulfill that fleshly desire ! because we have Christ & have accepted Him as our Savior we have the beautiful gift of the Holy Spirit (John 14:26) ! we don’t have to rely on our flesh to keep us strong in the fight against temptation ! we don’t have to give into our flesh every time it calls for us ! before we had the Holy Spirit we relied on ourselves ( and relying on flesh gives birth to sin because flesh can never conqueror sin, it loves sin ) but now we have a decision to make ! we either can slip back into our old ways or we can chose the Holy Spirit ! will we sin, ? YES , will we fall ? YES but making a decision to choose the Holy Spirit’s way every day helps us in the fight against sin, the more we chose the Holy Spirit the more that we’ll choose the Holy Spirit ! it’s daily decision ! it’s a daily choice not to satisfy ! God give us the strength to choose You! give us the strength not to choose flesh ! remind us that that we have the Holy Spirit that can help us, we don’ have to fight this battle against flesh alone ~
