So youve done your training for the week and its your day off .... REST DAY...but just like this guy you just cant sit and do nothing, besides rest day sucks for you as much as it sucks for him Physical activity is not prohibited during recovery (rest day). Recovery can be either passive or ACTIVE. There is a good amount of research out there that actually encourage active recovery as the findings suggest that it allows athletes to physically and psychologically recover from the stresses of hard training while still maintaining their level of fitness. So what is active recovery? Generally it means engaging in a low intensity workout on your rest day, workout that is less intense and has less volume than your regular training. Sooooo, if you are like this guy from now on you can actually enjoy your rest day
