#Soccer_Laduma came up with few Challenges the Amakhosi will face when they tackle the Botswanas Township Rollers! • Taxing Travel Schedule It is never easy traveling to Africa, but what makes it worse is that some of the boys would have just returned from their African Cup Nations and would be expected to travel with their club back into Africa for this tournament. While Botswana may be the neighbours to South Africa, it is never fun traveling continuously and being away from friends and family like they will be. This can have a heavy impact. • Pitch Conditions Township Rollers train on gravel ground and their fixture will be held in Gaborone – a city that barely experiences in rain. The dry and arid conditions will certainly impact the players, as the hard surface can be tough on their joints, while the scorching weather could be energy sapping. • Unknown Accommodation Gaborone does have some lovely hotels, but how many stories have come out of the woodwork of hotel staff trying to spike the players’ food and drink in order to make them sick on the eve of a big game. Who knows what – if anything - could happen. • North & South Are Two Different Playing Grounds While we know there is a huge difference in hemispheres, the build and temperament of players from the north of Africa and of those from the South are quite different.
