When Shastri ji faced such situation in Grain Imports, he asked his family and afterward countrypersons to stop eating one meal every Monday. Petrol flows like free water in corridor of power, where consumption is either unlimited or limited to 200 to 700 liters per head/ per month. If our Netas & their Babus lead in austerity by say not using a vehicle for just a day or two per week, our fuel import will come down within a manageable limit. By liberal use of Public Transportation, we can even manage all our transports’ fuel requirement from our own indigenous production. This will not only give us much needed self sufficiency but would also reduce the pollution spreading through imports, in our Bharat Desh Mahan.
