Social Media Manager Manager for a Multimedia Startup in Nigeria Job offer in Nigeria WE are a reputable education multimedia startup in Abuja looking for a young and motivated individual to join our team of journalists covering news related to education, technology and entertainment. We want to hire a social media guru to manage our social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Forums and Google+. The ideal candidate should be a team player and a self-starter. The job is flexible, which means you can work from home many days in a week, provided you get the job done. The salary is competitive. You should be able/ willing to work in Abuja or Lagos or Jos in the future. We are happy to start with you working from another city in Nigeria for the next 2-2 years. Please only apply if you meet the requirements OR can learn very fast. We will train you if we offer you a position. We will only contact those shortlisted for interview. Responsibilities (will NOT necessarily do all these BUT should be able to): • Maintain a close working relationship with potential news sources, and update our team of reporters as news break • Work very closely with our team in managing our social media accounts • Engage readers on social media by responding to reader comments and pursing other avenues of interaction with audiences • Take photographs or shoot videos of events as necessary to tell a story (occasionally) • Create online videos and post them to Youtube • View and analyze social media analytics and suggest improvements to the team Requirements: • Be a self-starter.
