Society tends to give you a one-way ticket to what they think you should enjoy. Theyll deter you from doing what you want if it seems to them like something menial and beneath you—if they know you have what they consider to be greater potential. When societys arbitrary or outdated, man-made traditions dictate my actions, I can no longer enjoy myself, if Im only doing it for them. Yet there are times its simply less grief for you to plod along as they say you should, lest you give offense.
