**Sol Invicto News/Progress Update** I wanted to take a moment - TopicsExpress

**Sol Invicto News/Progress Update** I wanted to take a moment to update you on what has been happening and the direction this project is heading toward. When I started this project several years ago, the plan was, and always has been to merge heavy guitars and drum & bass into something that complimented the respective genres, without sounding like it was thrown together as an afterthought or gimmick. Diaz Brothers is the first track which I feel points Sol Invicto in the direction I had always had in mind. I am very grateful to be working with someone like Tech Itch on the last installment of the Initium series, his experience and dedication to his craft has helped refine the final rough edges to this project before the debut album is released next year. My vision for the Initium Eps was to show the sonic progression of the project, warts and all, in its various stages, it did take a little longer than I had hoped but, as we all know, life has the ability to change your plans without telling you, for better or for worse, regardless, here we are and Im very happy to be here, about the drop the final part of the trilogy which precedes the debut album. I will be releasing all the Initium Eps as one recording, re-mixed and remastered on high quality 24bit wav/lossless files and, on hard copy format very early in the new year (hopefully sooner but you know my intentions are better than my actual delivery dates) **Debut album, future eps etc** After the Initium trilogy is released officially, the plan is to have a project within a project, since I want to keep part of the band very grimy and experimental, but at the same time I want to present a very strong, song based approach to our album(s) and live shows. It is important for me as a producer that the debut album sounds like an album, and every track is as strong as the next and can be performed live, in full. The alternate side of Sol Invicto will be handled by myself and Tech Itch, which will have the more experimental and darker sounds but always hard hitting and with crushing riffs & drums, releasing eps and mixtapes and singles. Something we will be bringing to clubs, live, a striped down raw version take on the project. Its basically a festival side and a club side to the project, none more important than the other, just a different take on things and creatively, more expansive for myself and the people I work alongside. In the spirit of plans changing and creativity not being stifled in this project, everything I have said above is subject to change, but, I wanted to give you, the fans, a personal incite into what is happening right now with us and how I see it moving forwards, because all of you have been key in helping this project evolve and I love speaking with you, and will always continue to interact in this way as much as possible. I do this for the love, my own time and out my own pocket, the album will come out, things will change, we might sign to a label but, the ethos and ideology and creative control of this project will always remain in the same hands. Take care, Richie Londres
