Soldier 2020: U.S. Army seeking female volunteers to participate in a trial to help test the feasibility of opening the Ranger course to female candidates. The call for volunteers includes female Soldiers in the ranks of E-4 to O-3. If conducted, the course will take place in spring, 2015. Volunteers are also needed to train as observers who to serve as advisers to the Airborne and Ranger Training Brigade. Female Soldiers in ranks E-6 to E-8, WO2-3, and O2-O4 must submit selection packets before Oct. 10.
