Solidarity stand in support of #Syria presidential elections in Hungary and Slovakia | Jun 01, 2014 For Syria Forum and the National Union for students, Hungary branch, organized a solidarity stand with Syria and its people with the participation of members of the Syrian, Egyptian and Iraqi communities in addition to a big number of Hungarian people on the occasion of the presidential elections in front of the Syrian Embassy in Budapest, which has been closed since the 31st of December, 2012. The participants carried pictures of candidate Dr. Bashar al-Assad and banners that express their stand by the homeland, stressing their electoral right, which is stipulated for in the Constitution. They also held a symbolic elections, casting votes in a box covered with the Syrian flag in manifestation of their support to candidate Dr. Bashar al-Assad. The Syrian students in Slovakia stressed that the presidential elections held on the 28th of May proved the failure of the countries betting on Syrias fall, stressing that the candidate Dr. Bashar al-Assad have proven his wisdom, bravery and the support he has by the Syrian people. The students clarified in a statement that the presidential elections held abroad were a real exam for the sanctity of the Syrian state and failure of the agendas betting on the fall of Syria.
