Solihull shopper flying high after £2k voucher win. One lucky Tesco shopper is all set to jet off to his dream destination after bagging top prize at the Hall Green stores Win a Holiday competition. Twelve finalists battled it out in a live final at the Stratford Road supermarket last Saturday. Each was given a code they hoped would unlock a suitcase and see them claim £2,000 in flight vouchers. And it was Shelu Mich from Solihull, who walked away the winner. “I was the first person to try to open the suitcase but it didn’t cross my mind that I would win,” he said. “My family watched me play in the final too, so it was great they were there to see me win.” The 11 runners-up received a variety of prizes, including £100 Tesco gift cards or days out vouchers. Store manager Shaun Rathbone said: “The event was a great success and created a fantastic atmosphere at the store. “It was great to see one of our regular customers winning a fantastic prize.”
