Somali Maay Language - The second largest Languega in Somalia I am very glad to see this klip that two foreign women is practicing Somali Maay Languge which is the second largest langue that is spoken in Somalia. It seems these women have realy mastered well in many areas of this language. Somali Maay language it is very important language and it is spoken about more that 2,500,000 (two million) people in more than eigth regions in Somalia and parts of Kenya and Eithiopia. There is a precious litteratur , songs, peots, old histories that is not well written att all. Many scholars from the communities of Maaymaay in Somaila are trying there best to develop Maay language, exampel Prof. Mohamed Haji Mukhtar who is living in USA and many other Somali Diaspora intelektuatla and communities that live in Canada, UK, Sweden and Norway. But I believe there is a great needed to invest resurses to develop many different books for Maay Language in Somalia. Somali Minstry of Education and Minstry of Culture it seems they are not doing the right work that required to develop this language. I hoppe many politicians and the inteluctuals that belongs Maaymaay community in Somalia must work hard and to unite to save this important and valuable language for many Somalis.
