Some Guy Says a Revolution is Coming The video is good, love what he has to say, he references occupy, kills it in the end... But why does media always try to turn celebs that are politically conscious into messiahs? We recognize he is not a spokesman for anything except what the average worker, houseless person, poc, disabled or otherwise oppressed person experiences and knows firsthand. He is simply telling us with his relatively large megaphone. The revolution itself may not be televised, but on last nights edition of the BBCs Newsnight, viewers may have witnessed the start of one. Actor-slash-comedian-slash-Messiah Russell Brand, in his capacity as guest editor of the New Statesmans just-published revolution-themed issue, was invited to explain to Jeremy Paxman why anyone should listen to a man who has never voted in his life.
