Some Q&A regarding Yeshuas divinity: Q: Is Jesus God? A: No. Yeshua is not God in that he is not YHVH Creator. Nor is he the Father. The word God is also deceptive because it derrives from the Hebrew word Elohim which means godS (plural) and it also means powers or in some cases used to refer to principalities. Elohim is used not as a title to YHVHs Name, but rather a title given to the *divine family* of YHVH which consists of the angels, Yeshua, and in the future all of YHVHs resurrected people. Evidence of this can be found in Psalm 81. Also, in Exodus when YHVH says to Moses I will make you god to pharoah.. the SAME word used there is Elohim. Surely YHVH was not calling Moses YHVH. However, by understanding the concept of the word Elohim, it makes sense. Yeshua says that at the resurrection, we will be like the angels of YHVH. The angels of YHVH are divine beings. Yet we will be just like them. Divinity does not mean to be YHVH. Nor does it mean to be immortal. So if one says Yeshua is divine in the context of the true meaning of Elohim, as in part of the divine family, then yes. That is true. But according to Scripture, the angels are also divine, and so are we, and at the resurrection, we will be fully divine. Q: Is Yeshua equal to the Father? A: No. He is not. Yeshua sits at the RIGHT HAND of YHVH. Mat 22:44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit on my *right hand*,till I make your enemies your footstool? Mat 26:64 Jesus said unto him, You have said so: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall you see the Son of man sitting on the *right hand* of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the *right hand* of God. Luk 22:69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. If Yeshua is YHVH and equal to Him, does he sit on two thrones and switch back and forth? That is absurd. Yeshua rules for 1000 years but then gives up the Kingdom to The Father in the end. This proves that Yeshuas role is NOT the same as YHVHs: 1 Cor.15:24-26 24 Then comes the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom *to God*, even *the Father*; when he (Yeshua) shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he (Yeshua) must reign, till he has put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. Q: Has Jesus always existed? A: In thought, purpose, and intention, yes he did. Physically? No. I explain this in my article above. The hebraic concept of pre-existence. Q: Doesnt Yeshua being sinless make him God? A: Yeshua being sinless does not make him YHVH. It qualifies him to be the Lamb of God. Our Passover Lamb. If being sinless makes on YHVH, then Adam and Eve prior to the fall must be considered YHVH as well as the rest of us AFTER the resurrection in the Kingdom, for we wull be sinless at the resurrection as well. Q: Jesus forgave sins. Isnt God the only one allowed to do that? Therefore isnt Yeshua God? A: Yeshua relayed the message of forgiveness on behalf of The Father. Just like the prophets of old relayed several messages to people on behalf of the Father. Yeshua saying your sins are forgiven does not mean he said your sins are forgiven because I am God. It was the false interpretation of the religion of Judaism during that time, that kept trying to accuse Messiah of claiming to be God. If the religious Jews could accuse Yeshua of such thing, by the Law of God Yeshua would be put to death for blasphemy and also be disqualified as being Messiah... Q: Can it be possible that Jesus be God and still lower in in experience/power, etc than the Father responding to the Jehovahs Witness fav. verse (Col 1:15...firstborn among creation)? A: No. It is a complete contradiction and utter confusion. Being divine as in being perfect *in nature* according to YHVHs nature, is not the same as being YHVH the Creator. Nor does it mean Yeshua is co-creator. Isaiah is clear that YHVH alone designed the universe. Isa 44:24 Thus says YHVH, your redeemer, and he that formed you from the womb, I am YHVH that makes all things; that stretches forth the heavens alone; that spreads abroad the earth by myself; Yeshua is the first born among creation because it was Hebrew thought that taught Messiah entered the mind of God before anything did. The promise of Messiah was born in Gods mind prior to the creating of the universe. The concept of physical pre-existence is a gnostic and mystic philosophy not taught by Messiah nor the Apostles. Talmud and Pre-Existence: The belief was general that the sending of the Messiah was part of the Creators plan at the inception of the Universe. Seven things were created before the world was created: Torah, repentance, the Garden of Eden (i.e.Paradise), Gehinnom, the Throne of Glory, the Temple, and the name of the Messiah (Pes. 54a). In a later work there is the observation: From the beginning of the creation of the world king Messiah was born, for he entered the mind (of God) before even the world was created (Pesikta Rab. 152b) Again, I do not follow the Talmud or Rabbinic Judaism. However it is interesting that such a view of Messiah existed within the Jewish culture prior to Greco-Roman influence. Also, before Creation was made, YHVH purposed in His heart that all things would be inherited by The Messiah in the end. The problem was that everyone had their own view as to who Messiah was during the 1st Century. Those who believed in the man from Nazareth (Yeshua) were called Nazarenes or in Hebrew Netzarim (Acts:24:5).
