Some are going to take this piece the wrong way, but those who need this piece, I will deal with that as it arises. There are some who think I am on the verge of suicide and I wonder how I could be so misinterpreted. But, let me make some things very clear: 1) I do not wish to kill or otherwise harm myself at the present time. 2) I may have a lot of issues going on, ups and downs since June of this year, and I like to be dramatic as a writer but I know from whence my help comes from: ABOVE. 3) I am intelligent enough to know that HE will not give me anything that HE will not provide me to be able to maintain and keep, therefore I am going to have to continue the work HE has outlined for me to do. (For example, HE wont bless me with a job if I am not taking care of certain things in orer to keep it; HE will not give me a financial blessing if HE knows I wont use it for the glory of HIS Kingdom because of wrong thinking that HE knows I am working on.) 4) I have a new volunteer in Childrens Ministry in which I am the teacher for one specific Special Needs student to give her access to both the Kindergarten Sunday School and Special Needs classroom; I am the Vice President and Treasurer of the Women of Pebbles Empowerment Committee; I faciliate the Pebbles Christian Womens Group; I speak on behalf of the agencies and organizations to assist in their fundraising to show how investment in certain populations works and is money well spent. I couldnt do any of that if I were unstable. If I were off the hinges, why would any organization or agency want to use me as an example because instability would show no return for investment dollars. Okay, so I worked myself up to the point I was crying hysterically and my stomach was in knots and I felt physical pain in various parts of my body, but especially my back and neck and I was really feeling low and hating just about everything, but especially me, so I had to just crawl into bed, wrap up in a few comforters and pray over myself...it was a very difficult exercise as my mind wanted to focus on the anger, hurt and pain, but I just kept trying to focus on what HIS thoughts are about me and my life...it was a difficult struggle and parts of me just wanted to give up and not try...but I kept trying and eventually my mind stayed on HIM. HE will bring you perfect peace, I know this full well. I will say this, I am very eager to attend church tomorrow. Very eager. I wrote the above paragraph on the second of November this year to be an encouragement to anyone suffering mental illness--that just as GOD brought me perfect peace, HE will do it for you. I wanted to illustrate that crying may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning are just words in some antiquated book, but FACT and TRUTH from the HOLY WORD OF GOD. I wanted to show that someone suffering from mental illness can benefit from adding the medicine of prayer to their treatment plan. Notice I said I wanted to focus on the anger, hurt and pain, but I just kept trying to focus on what HIS thoughts are about me and my life...it was a difficult struggle and parts of me just wanted to give up and not try...but I kept trying and eventually my mind stayed on HIM. HE will bring you perfect peace, I know this full well. See, that is the piece some of you missed when you decided I was on the verge of suicide. Prayer as a medicine works because you focus on what HIS thoughts are about you and your life; HIS promises in HIS Word; and you allow HIM to do the healing and repair needed so that HE can give you perfect peace. Let me share a Word with you, okay, to further emphasize. HE say in HIS Word: 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 English Standard Version (ESV) God of All Comfort 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as we share abundantly in Christs sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.[a] Footnotes: 2 Corinthians 1:5 Or, For as the sufferings of Christ abound for us, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. (biblegateway) Because I, who have the affliction of mental illness, who has suffered can comfort those who are afflicted in a similar manner. Anyone who is suffering alone know that there is ONE who will stick closer than any brother. HE will bring comfort and healing. HIS name is Jesus Christ, Messiah, Son of GOD. Share this status with anyone who may need it. If you are reading this and are in pain, feel free to contact me and I will be more than glad to help you get the assistance you need. (469)420-0125, kimya549@gmail I will also repost the list of Counseling Agencies after I post this for anyone needing those numbers. Now, if you are really concerned about me, here are my diagnoses. Read each one and pray that GOD removes my thorns. I know HE is a Healer and a Deliverer. HE has cured me of a brain tumor and HE has helped me to be on less medication, not as strong medication, small doses as I continue to pray and less doses per day. Bipolar disorder, also known as manic-depressive illness, is a brain disorder that causes unusual shifts in mood, energy, activity levels, and the ability to carry out day-to-day tasks. Symptoms of bipolar disorder are severe. They are different from the normal ups and downs that everyone goes through from time to time. Bipolar disorder symptoms can result in damaged relationships, poor job or school performance, and even suicide. But bipolar disorder can be treated, and people with this illness can lead full and productive lives. (nimh.nih.gov) Schizoaffective disorder is a serious mental illness that has features of two different conditions, schizophrenia and an affective (mood) disorder, either major depression or bipolar disorder.Schizophrenia is a brain disorder that distorts the way a person thinks, acts, expresses emotions, perceives reality, and relates to others. Depression is an illness that is marked by feelings of sadness, worthlessness, or hopelessness, as well as problems concentrating and remembering details. Bipolar disorder is characterized by cycling mood changes, including severe highs (mania) and lows (depression). Schizoaffective disorder is a life-long illness that can impact all areas of daily living, including work or school, social contacts, and relationships. Most people with this illness have periodic episodes, called relapses, when their symptoms surface. While there is no cure for schizoaffective disorder, symptoms often can be controlled with proper treatment. (webmd) Major depressive disorder, or major depression, is characterized by a combination of symptoms that interfere with a persons ability to work, sleep, study, eat, and enjoy once-pleasurable activities. Major depression is disabling and prevents a person from functioning normally. Some people may experience only a single episode within their lifetime, but more often a person may have multiple episodes. (nimh.nih.gov) Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a serious mental illness marked by unstable moods, behavior, and relationships. In 1980, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders, Third Edition (DSM-III) listed BPD as a diagnosable illness for the first time. Most psychiatrists and other mental health professionals use the DSM to diagnose mental illnesses. Because some people with severe BPD have brief psychotic episodes, experts originally thought of this illness as atypical, or borderline, versions of other mental disorders. While mental health experts now generally agree that the name borderline personality disorder is misleading, a more accurate term does not exist yet. Most people who have BPD suffer from: Problems with regulating emotions and thoughts Impulsive and reckless behavior Unstable relationships with other people People with this disorder also have high rates of co-occurring disorders, such as depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and eating disorders, along with self-harm, suicidal behaviors, and completed suicides.
