Some areas across West Central Texas saw substantial rainfall during the month of July, while some folks werent quite as lucky. Heres a look at the monthly rainfall totals across the area, based on satellite estimates and ground truth measurements. The heaviest rainfall (some areas over 6) was observed along and north of the Colorado River from Wingate, to Coleman, to San Saba. The lowest rainfall amounts were found over the Concho Valley, south to Ozona and Sonora. The departure image indicates the difference from normal rainfall. In other words, areas in green are above normal for the year while those in the red are below.
