Some believe that the prophecies of Jesus return has already happened. This is the position of the Preterist. If you are a Preterist please answer these questions if you can . There are just a few points that make me doubt that position. 1. According to Jesus the Abomination of Desolation (As mentioned in Dan hadnt happened during his time. So that excludes (Antiochus, Julius Caesar and others the preceded Jesus.) That means its still to happen. 2.The prophecies about the Eastern Gate. Jesus went in and out and the gate was sealed as Ezekiel prophesied by Suleiman the Magnificent sealed off the Golden Gate in 1541. Eze_44:2 Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut. Eze_44:3 It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the LORD; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the way of the same. Eze_44:4 Then brought he me the way of the north gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD: and I fell upon my face. 3.The prophecies in Revelations and the Gospels have not come to pass about the Sun turning black and the moon turning as blood. I dont believe this is symbolism. Jesus said there would be a shaking in the heavens. If the sun is affected and its gravity goes wild affecting many objects in the solar system this explains most of the events in the book of Revelations that strike the earth from a purely scientific point of view. Actually it is astoundingly scientifically accurate. 4. When you look at the rise of Islam and the Kabal and the Grand Mosque was described and predicted in Zech 5:5-11. I believe that Islam is the Great Whore in Revelation and the city that is destroyed is Mecca which is 50 miles from the Red Sea and always been an Arab trading center. When the Muslims were writing the Hadith they looked at every prophecy about the Antichrist and figured if he was bad for the Jews he would be good for them. They even prophesied that at Armageddon a demon would come out of the sky dressed in white on white horses with multitudes of demons following him and it was the duty of every Muslim to fight against this demon and kill all the Jews.
