Some comments so far - I missed all the S15 rugby when broadcast live - wifes birthday took precedence - so I have only been able to watch high-light packages so far, will watch the games a little more closely when time permits. Bulls/Blues - the Bulls forwards dominated and J-L Potgieter has matured into a very competent flyhalf. He is big and strong, makes his tackles, carries the ball well, and kicks well out of hand - pity his more glamorous centres persist in not passing the ball, a number of opportunities presented out wide when either Serfontein or, more often, Engelbrecht held and crashed the ball. The Bulls could have scored two more if they had used the ball. Blues were woeful. Sharks/Lions - I wonder what life would have been like if the 2 times SA Schools flyhalf had been allowed to develop as a flyhalf instead of being moved to centre/fullback/wing by Dick Muir? Steyn was a natural at school, and was promptly used out of position by Muir when he signed for Natal (Familiar story? Brent Russell, Frans Steyn, Ruan Pienaar, Pat Lambie are just some that Muir used out of their preferred position more often than not.) Anyway, anyhow, he filled the slot caused by ticks, and filled it well. For the rest of what I have seen so far - the Lions were gutsy, but not good enough. Stormers/Crusaders - Lucky Crusaders - I have watched that JdV score against the base of the posts on super-slow and I think it should have been give, then again, I am a Stormers supporter so I would say that. Rebels/Force - the wrong Rebels pitched, and they were woeful. No depth in that squad I am afraid. If they play the 1st XV every weekend they will probably win a few before fatigue and injuries force them back into the reserve squad and then???? Cheetahs/Reds - missed it completely so I cannot comment.
