Some days it is hard for all of us to find things to be grateful for in our lives, but today in the Wash. Post Style section, an advice columnist titled her column something like look for positivity to counteract stress. Todays 3 things: 1) friends I see in Burke brought something I am borrowing to Arlington from them to my house in Arlington! but my voicemail notification on my phone is not flashing like it used to and I guess I was not near it when it rang, odd, so a close friend/neighbor accepted the item on my behalf 2)was inside a library when a extremely loud boom sounded, just a thunderclap, but it sounded like a gas explosion, but we are well, but the drying wash on the back line is soaked with rain 3) today was our friends 48th wedding anniversary and although I was not there for their wedding, they were instrumental in getting things right at our wedding, for which we are forever grateful-explaining last night about the cake, Eileen. 3) a friend who was at our wedding more than 36 years ago found slides which he had taken at our wedding and at his wifes prompting, they made them into print photos and gave us the set, and they had an interesting and conversation starting startling view we had not seen before. Thanks Ralph and Debbie. Dont know that I ever was considered thin-maybe a trick of the camera angle, and people got to see more photos of the fuschia altar walls that have been gray wallboard since the 90s and how my husband looked back then. A treasure.
