Some days it seems like yesterday, when I would be talking and chillin with my father. Other days it seems like a lifetime ago since I shared a laugh with him. A man of a 9th grade education but had street smarts and book smarts. Someone who would give you a check up from the neck up, but would give a person the shirt off his back. A man who said not to drink no wine before it was time and it is always a good time. Yet, went to work everyday. A man that many of my friends said, was the coolest pops around. That was my dad, Charles L. Thomas. He would have celebrated his 80th today. Gone but not forgotten!!
