Some days just dont go as planned. I entered Casper knowing I could draw slack and still make it home for Halloween festivities. So last night I promised the kids Id be back in time to trick or treat. After stopping the barrel race and reworking the ground....which Im thankful for...the barrel race starts over. Delayed by probably three hours my horse stumbles at the first barrel and jerks the reins out of my hands, tweaks my back again....and Im going to miss Halloween. Driving home feeling guilty and disappointed. So goes the rodeo life I guess.
