Some days the jury takes your side; some days it doesnt. Today, IT DID!! In the case of Paula Boling v. North Marshall Water District, the jury ruled that she was punished for acting as a whistleblower! Damaged werent what we wanted but were okay - just under $9,000 in back pay and $25,000 in punitive damages - but that could still go up on post-trial motions. Most importantly, we proved she got punished for doing the right thing and that such conduct isnt acceptable!
