Some driving instructors (including me) occasionally get criticised for taking too long to sign learners off in their logbooks. Learners should ideally have more than 50 hours of driver training under their belt. Some other States require 120 hours of recorded driving in a logbook before you can even contemplate attempting a Government Driving Test. It is reassuring to know that there are those posting to forums like the one below: the-riotact/quickest-driving-school/64080#comments who on the whole, bag the poster who wants to find a "lenient" instructor. Very revealing sentiment by other young drivers, and reassuring to me that I am doing the right thing in aiming to teach young drivers to develop their driving skills to the point that they are relatively safe on the road!
