Some folks went to the moon, some went to a farm in NY State. Some - TopicsExpress

Some folks went to the moon, some went to a farm in NY State. Some went to lakes and camps, and some went to the hot city streets. In summer of 1969, I went to Czechoslovakia with an ecumenical church group. Most of the people were in their 20s. My closest companion was a 17 year old black girl (my age) named Curtiestine Hall from Indianapolis, sweet and proper. The dozen or so of us traveled the country in a blue van, our guide a young Czech named Vera, and her friend Ivan, the rebellious nephew of Gustav Husak, who replaced Alexander Dubcek after the Prague Spring. It was the most surreal summer of my life, like a movie scene. I just remember 2 songs that summer: Lay Lady Lay by Bob Dylan, and this one by Blind Faith. https://youtube/watch?v=3TyynO6O0kc
