Some food for thought away from politics. If we are to develop then people should invest more in industries, and by industries I mean investing in the conversion of raw materials to finished products, this way employment will be created and income generated. We should discard this mentality that Africa, Kenya, Ukambani, Machakos is only a source of raw material and a ready market for finished products. No one has the monopoly of knowledge, everyone is knowledgable, share information on how to begin the process of creating wealth by creating industries, and this does not mean big buildings with heavy machinery, even cottage industries are industries too and they grow. Look at Manu Chandaria, Vimal Shah, Chris Kirubi... they have all invested in converting raw materials to finished products and they have constantly grown. The government can only provide the infrastructure, the legislation, the security for this to happen, the government cannot cultivate your farm, set up a manufacturing plant... the government cannot think for anyone and it will only provide amenities for those who are already thinking and working towards a particular end.
