Some fun here celebrating 7,000 Subscribers Talk is cheap...but to earn the position of been considered an authority on this field is not. Is part of what I have to answer to a fellow called Domingo Esteso in the last comment of this video here youtu.be/XD-UYnIbeI4?t=14s His comment: ...maybe, BUT UR ANDALUSIAN GUITAR IS NOT A SANTOS HERNANDEZ... My answer: N.1) It is not maybe... it is so. and to prove that here is the link from El Pais Newspaper elpais.uy/divertite/musica/guitarra-desagradecida.html El Pais (newspaper) & Paco de Lucia Interviewer- Which is your main guitar? (question n. 4, see link below) Paco de Lucias answer: ...I have many different guitars and very good ones actually, but I always have one with me... Its like a women you live with but who dont really like much... because I really do not like this guitar too much but on the other side I know how this particular guitar will respond me on stage. The saying `best known evil than an unknown good` applies here. In fact at home my guitar it is a rough and hard to play guitar, when Im relaxed at my place I cant play this guitar at all... But when adrenaline is there (on the stage) I need a certain comfortable pulsacion of which I get used to, and thats why I use it for playing on stage. N.2) An AG Santos andalusianguitars/SH1927-10-spruce-ccherryb-ccherryf-cherry-yellow-17.html is far superior to an original Santos vintage guitar christies/lotfinder/musical-instruments/santos-hernandez-a-flamenco-guitar-madrid-circa-5119254-details.aspx here is why https://youtube/watch?v=XztKqNoZQBM https://youtube/watch?v=DELy6W9ExII https://youtube/watch?v=PJLTqE_-pxI N.3) Please prove what you are saying, and show to us your credentials first https://youtube/watch?v=5Vw-tfWqvKw ( to show some respect to my preceptor and to our subscribers please prove who you are by playing a couple of minutes in a YouTube Video and post it along with your next answer, because we want to first be acquainted with your actual qualification in modern flamenco guitar and Paco de Lucias music, to either 1) Consider the validity of your opinion on the subject, or 2) Just ignore your comments. This channel in honor of Pacos music & technique has been as well created as a source of useful information to our subscribers and to CFGs students, and is certainly not an USG Uncles Sam Club hence we (I mean CFG members and myself) are all real aficionados and music scholars, academic people who likes to work on a scientific ground regarding all musicological and historical aspects and that is the reason why I am very respectfully asking you to first prove what your level of attainment on flamenco guitar is by fact. I, CFG, subscribers to this channel, my students and our audience either players for fun or general public listening here we all deserve a respectful answer from you to asses what is the level of understanding of the person who is commenting against the proven facts I explain on my guitar magazine and video lessons. N.4) I am afraid that you are used to and like trying to defend a very outdated + obsolete kind of guitars https://youtube/watch?v=d97glZ5kHbE N.5) By how you behave so far (without proving anything at all) I am assuming that possibly you are just another guitar snob https://youtube/watch?v=xk_zcdNYtHQ and that also probably can explain why you on your channel https://youtube/channel/UCKqP2whnZrIua7wm80DFSbw have 0 subscribers while I here https://youtube/channel/UCKpQh6AeQaU1t6XE_G5jAeA have today near 7,000 subscribers in case I am right about the above mentioned assumption here is a whole article dedicated to all Quinquilleros (flamenco kitsch fellows & guitar snobs) rdiaz.org/rdmagazine56-racism.html I hope you enjoy it. Conclusion: Talk is cheap...but to earn the position of been considered an authority on this field is not. Have a nice day! Ruben rdiaz.org/rdfoto88.html
