Some good information here. Now I am not anti-blanketing at all. I just think it is not as necessary as some people think it is. If you have a horse that is going to stay in serious work over the winter, and dont want that heavy coat, or are planning on body clipping - then it can be necessary. But the average healthy horse that doesnt work very hard will do just fine with what nature gave them in most circumstances. And they shouldnt be locked up in an air tight barn either!
