Some have asked me to share what was in the newspaper honoring me. It was in the extra insert in the paper of Sat. Dec 27, 2014 called Remembering 2014. On 4C it had pictures and short writeups of 10 Valley News Difference Makers. Mine said: Carolyn Ruhde is a busy lady but its only because she is constantly thinking and doing things for others. Carolyn is one of the first people to volunteer to help out, whether its with Nishna Productions, SMC Hospital Auxillary, her church, square dancing club, or just the Shenandoah community in general. Her warm smile and generosity make a difference in our community as she is certainly someone to count on. This honor came as a complete surprise to me. The editor of the paper told me she is the one who chooses the ones to honor. Thanks Tess.
