Some ideas for fighting Utahs inversionion pollution.... On red days have industrial polluters pause like on current no burn days. with compensation for proven lost revenues because it would be better to subsidize rather than compromise everyones health. Estimated industrial pollution just from Rio Tinto is expected to rise 11% in the next few years with not a regulation to prevent it or minimize it. No use of carbon credits because our inversion pollution is too much of a local impact to trade for some global goal. To increase ridership, UTA needs to lower fares, stop cutting routes and increase parking at some TRAX stations, stop paying state UTA administrators more than God. Stop wood burning and give grants or low cost loans to convert peoples homes to nstural gas. Give incentives to expand natural gas infrastructure statewide. Convert school busses to CNG and make money available to train CNG mechanics and infrastructure. If you agree please share. Maybe someone in our Utah legislature might take notice.
