Some info regarding the Free Agent process changes in the new CBA. First, of course, is that the day has been moved to July 5th. Second, each team has two compliance buyouts, that period ended two days ago. The most notable being the Briere and Vinny buyouts in Philadelphia and Tampa Bay. Third, teams had the opportunity yesterday to speak to upcoming free agents. They could NOT make deals official but they could speak to one another. We all know that happened before anyway but not they can do it legally. Okay...back to hockey news
