Some inspiration to get the weekend started off right! #everymomentcounts #zenlabs Katie Tindall Schmid I just completed w4d2 and I just want to say how much this program has changed my thinking towards running. I am a moderately active mom of 2 who plays softball 1-2 times a week from April until October. I have been slowly gaining weight since 2006 but things seemed to get worse after losing my father the past September. I found comfort in food and found myself making excuses why I couldnt join a gym or just go out and walk. Finally after my husband decided he needed to change, I realized if he stopped making them then I can to. Even though I may not be losing the weight I want to right now, I know that will come with time as I make adjustments to my eating habits. I have been training 2-3 nights with my dog and then 1-2 days on my own. After completing week 3 and looking ahead to week 4, I considered repeating week 3 because I was not confident I could run for 5 minutes. With my husbands encouragement, I tried w4d1 and was thrilled I was able to make it through the 5 min runs. I know I made the decision to step out and get active, but this program has helped me build the confidence I needed to keep on going. I am determined to run a 5k by the end if the summer. Running has not just helped me get healthier but it has also given me the time to clear my head and get some of my daily stress out.
