Some interesting questions to ask yourself before volunteering - Does the project have a genuine need for volunteers or are they creating a situation to attract volunteers to make a profit? - Is the project sustainable? Think about the big picture. What is the project really contributing? - Is the project ethical? - What is your real motivation for volunteering? In the case of lion breeding farms they breed cubs for the sole purpose of attracting volunteers who will pay to raise them. Breeding captive bred lions is not sustainable, responsible or ethical and adds to the problems faced by wild lion populations. It is not conservation.
