Some more barefoot running this morning. It gets easier every time. I started about 12 years ago with the Brooks Beast after breaking an ankle. I found that each time I gave my feet more freedom, I felt better. I transitioned to a less supportive Brooks shoe. Then I went to a flatter shoe and tried New Balance and a Saucony that were an improvement. Then I went to Innov-8 and made some Tarahumara type sandals. I took all one summer to get used to the sandals. I have worn the sandals for three years. I have also run in five fingers but only for 3-4 miles at a time. Now I have been experimenting with barefoot once or twice a week. It is fun and has been a big learning experience for me. So the transition to barefoot learning has taken over ten years for me now and I am still a beginner at it. So, I wonder about people getting in a hurry and trying to take only a few weeks.
