Some more personal observations from a first time visitor in Korea: - Especially in Seoul, some people, including merchants, can be very rude and vulgar. Pushing and shoving seems to be common - Korea puts NYC and New England to shame with at least 3-4 cafes and convenience stores on every block - Non-Korean attire makes you stick out like a sore thumb especially when you got a camera in one hand - If you dont know conversational Korean or are not with someone who speaks it, be ready to feel dumb and lost. Good luck paying for meals/drinks or asking directions - Some women wear just way too much makeup - Even at 5-6 I am of average height here and tower over most elders. Not every guy 6+ ft like in the dramas. The girls are also average height around 5-1 to 5-4 - Almost every car/bus/truck here is a Kia, Daewoo or Hyundai. If you own any other brand, it means you make good money - Everyone is not stick skinny like in the dramas and commercials here. Everyone is of average build, some skinny some chubby like everywhere else
