Some more profound insight into death and dying from my students -- The second question I posed to students was about our cultural obsession with what happens to our bodies after death. My student had this say: A living mind would of course argue that it is a big deal how someone handles their body, but what is dead body going to mind? Its almost equivalent to a snake shedding its skin. Of course while the skin is on the snake he/she wants it to look nice and appealing, but once it is shed a new layer appears, the snake could give a damn about the old skin. Thats how we should be with our bodies. I love it when my students are able to further open my mind as I hoped I have opened theirs :-)
