Some "not really humorous randoms" Random #1: My yard is full of trenches at the moment. The good news is that it is not from moles. Randall Holmes, Son in law is putting in a sprinkler system for us. I am getting too old to watch Jean tug those hoses and sprinklers around the yard. Random #2: Bad news is that we got half rained out at Sting Fling Saturday. We made a little less than half of what we expected. Good news is that I got to work with 17 different friends at one time or another during the festival. The other good news is that for each item sold a lady got paid enough to feed a meal to her children. Thanks all who helped and purchased. Random #3: It is a few days before the Philippine shipment. Many people from the church and the community have donated things. Thank you all for that I am blessed to know many people with very kind hearts. Random #4: Congrats to all my San Diego friends and relatives on the Chargers win. OK it took me a couple of days to get where I could say that. Parting Random: Congrats to the WWII vets who took over the closed WWII memorial in Washington D.C. today while it was closed because of the Govt. shutdown. They took Normandy, surely the DC thing was a piece of cake. :)
